Stefan Elenkov died age 60 in 2007, after had sang in such theatres as La Scala - Milano, Metropoliten Opera, Paris Opera, Grand Opera Wien, Bolshoy Theatre - Moscow etc. He was one of the best Bulgarian basses ever sang abroad.
